We all have those couples on our social feeds, the ones that feel the need to update you constantly on the ups and downs of their relationship. It’s annoying, right? And yet strangely entertaining?
You find yourself looking out for their tweets/posts just so that you can text your friends to say “Did you see what [insertname] said?!” complete with screenshot of said social violation.
These couples come in a variety of forms, and they’re all as sickeningly enthralling as each other. Here are some of our favourites…
The PDA Couple
The one’s who want to remind you of how happy and in love they are, even though you’re sat home alone eating a tub of Ben & Jerry’s, flicking through Netflix.
“I can’t explain how much I love [insertname]”
Can’t you? Then don’t. Or if you must try, do it in private?
The On/Off Again Couple
The slightly less loveable, modern day Ross & Rachel.
“I can’t imagine my life without [insertname]. He/she makes me happier than I could ever have imagined.”
“Feels so good to be single again! I’ve never been happier!”
The Dirty Laundry Couple
During times of relationship turmoil, most of us turn to our friends for comfort. Not this pair. They turn to social media as an outlet for their anger/upset. These usually take the form of quotes or song lyrics.
“Trust is the hardest thing to find and the easiest thing to lose.”
Ooo, cryptic! Except it’s really not, we all know who you’re talking about. How about you go and have a conversation with them and if you can’t work it out, move on? Please?
It’s important that we put an end to this digital over sharing, for singles everywhere. Go, spread the news!
